CV

  • Amanda has accrued many years of experience in primary education, teaching pupils in EYS, KS1 and KS2. She is experienced in teaching children with SLCN and Spld/Dyslexia. Amanda has family members who are dyslexic. Previously an Assistant SENDCo, her current role is as a Specialist Literacy teacher in a mainstream specialist school in Surrey, and with Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre in Farnham.
  • Amanda is calm, consistent, and positive with a nurturing approach. Learning is memorable and fun with learners working at their own pace, so they experience success and grow in confidence. Amanda knows how important it is for dyslexics to understand their talents and strengths. She works in conjunction with families to support each child and enables each child to grow in confidence and experience success.

  • I love to be outdoors, in my garden, walking in the countryside or out on an early morning trail run!
