  • An empathetic, versatile and motivated specialist teacher and assessor for dyslexia with a wealth of teaching experience spanning both the state and private sectors.
  • As a qualified primary school teacher with a specific interest in dyslexia, Courtney undertook training at the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre for the Level 5 and 7 Diplomas in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties. She is delighted to now work as an Associate Assessor for the charity, providing full diagnostic assessments. Alongside this role, she also works as a literacy intervention teacher at a local primary school where she utilises her specialist teaching skills, delivering targeted, multisensory teaching to boost attainment in literacy.
  • In all her work, she strives to identify individual strengths and achievements to develop confidence and self-esteem and find innovative ways to utilise these strengths to support and target areas of weakness.
