  • Ruth Miskin Training: Read Write Inc end-to-end training for entry-level learners at Reception to end of KS2 (2022-2023)
  • Psychology BA Hons: Durham University (2001 – 2004)

CV

  • After 18 years in the corporate world, I made a significant career change to pursue my passion for supporting others, inspired by my own experiences as a dyslexic learner.
  • I hold a degree in Psychology and have dedicated the last two years to training with the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity to become a Specialist Teacher for children with Dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs).
  • Additionally, I am a fully qualified Specialist Assessor, with my APC licence registered with PATOSS, enabling me to diagnose Dyslexia.
  • Currently, I work at an independent school two days a week, which allows me the flexibility to support other students during the remainder of the week.
  • I conduct one full diagnostic assessment each month.

Interesting / fun facts

  • I was diagnosed with dyslexia by the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity back in 2000!
  • I use to write press releases, PowerPoints and help proof read CEO's speeches - dyslexia doesn't mean you can't do work like this!
  • I lived in Australia for 5 years in my late twenties/early thirties.
  • I'm married and have two kids aged 6 and 8.
  • I have a golden/fox Labrador called Rosie.
  • I love reformer Pilates!
