CV

  • I am a qualified specialist teacher and assessor, and spent 10 years as Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in a specialist school for students with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. It was a wonderfully diverse community where it was a privilege to work with such bright, creative, resilient and determined young people.
  • Before coming to Helen Arkell, I was Head of Education at The British Dyslexia Association, where I worked with schools to develop the ways in which they support their learners with dyslexia in the classroom.
